Hockey: India to take on Pakistan in Men’s Asian Champions Trophy Tournament in China

In Hockey, defending champions India will take on arch-rivals Pakistan in their fifth and final pool match of the Men’s Asian Champions Trophy tournament at Hulunbuir in China today. The match is scheduled to start at 1:15 PM Indian Standard Time.

Four-time champions India have already qualified for the semifinals after their fourth straight win in the league phase against South Korea. The Harmanpreet Singh-led team, which has remained unbeaten in the tournament so far, currently tops the points table with twelve points and, irrespective of the result against Pakistan, will finish first in the round-robin stage. The six-team tournament is being played in a round-robin format, with the top four teams qualifying for the semifinals on the 16th of September. The final is scheduled for the 17th of September.
